Principal’s Message

Term 3   Week 2
22nd  July, 2015

Dear Parents,

Congratulations and thank you to the students in 5MC who prepared and led the NAIDOC Week service last Thursday. It was a very reverent and well planned service. Thank you to all of you. Thanks also to Mr Cambey for his guidance and assistance.

This week we welcome Brooke Cincurak to our school. We wish Brooke all the best for her 3 weeks on 1B while Marg Brooks is on Long Service Leave. We hope that Marg has a very enjoyable break.

On Monday we began our Let’s Get Together groups. We marked this occasion by watching a YouTube clip called “Opening Doors”. The clip is about a young boy who had experienced bullying issues and the steps he took to overcome the situation. This represents what our Making Jesus Real Program is all about, and what we will be looking forward to working on during Let’s Get Together. Please take some time to talk to your children about this.

Our new website is coming along nicely and should be up and running very soon. In the meantime, don’t forget to access our Facebook page. All communication about what is happening at school is put on this page regularly.

Friday night is our Trivia Night. Please contact the office for tickets. This is a fun night, not a fundraiser. Come along and catch up with some old and new families and have an enjoyable night. Tickets are available from the office.

Congratulations to Kirby & Mark Hilton. They are proud parents of a beautiful baby boy, Jude Andrew. Darling little brother for Tyla & Lilly.

Tomorrow, Marg Moore, Jane Fawcett and Tony Brooks will join me in Wagga to be part of a workshop around the Spiral of Inquiry. Sue Duck will be available for contact in an emergency. Otherwise I will be back at school on Friday.

Have a great week and stay warm and dry.

Take care and God bless.
Marie
