Superheroes Day is Thursday, 5th July. Be a superhero and raise money for the children at St Joseph’s in Maska, Uganda.

Superheroes Fundraiser Day to Raise Money for a Drainage Project in Uganda

When it rains in Maska the children at St Joseph’s School are subjected to walking along a path that becomes a river of mud. Our small contributions can make a massive difference to the life of these children and their school community.

Children can dress up as a superhero OR their superhero on Thursday 5th July. We stress that we don’t want parents to buy anything special for their children to wear on this day. A simple cardboard mask or undies worn on the outside  will turn us into superheroes for the day! The purpose of this day is to raise funds through a gold coin donation to support Fr Joel and St Patrick’s Parish in providing funds to build a road at St Joseph’s School in Maska, Uganda. More details next week.

Reconciliation Week – 17 – 23 June

A Prayer for Reconciliation Week

Jesus, friend and brother,
You know what it is like to be hungry and thirsty.
You know what it feels like to be a stranger
who is made to feel unwelcome.
You know the suffering of all
who have lost everything.

We pray that by showing our care
for refugees,
we may show love for our neighbour
and be closer to you.
We ask these prayers in Your name.
Amen
