Principal’s Message

Dear Parents/Carers

The COVID situation has continued to escalate on both sides of the border! Guidelines are regularly changing and it is important to keep up with our responsibilities. Some helpful websites are: NSW Government, Victorian Government and CSNSW.

The current drop off and pick up routines are still in place and appear to be working well.  Please note that supervision at both gates continues until 3.30pm so you don’t have to be at the gate right on dismissal time. We thank you for your patience and understanding with this change.

If it is necessary for any parent/visitor to come on site, masks must be worn and signing in with the Services NSW QR code is mandatory via the office.

Current advice from Catholic Schools NSW states that: all students are expected to be at school unless they have even the mildest of COVID-19 symptoms, staff and students should reduce non essential travel, staff and students should not attend school if unwell, even with mild symptoms of COVID-19. Any person with any COVID-19 symptoms should be sent home and should not return until they have received a negative test result and are symptom-free. In circumstances where children have other medical reasons for recurrent symptoms a letter from their GP is sufficient to negate the requirement for a negative test.

Due to the current COVID guidelines we have had to postpone several events:

  • Infant Swimming Program
  • Grandparents’ Day
  • Year 2 Assembly

Hopefully the COVID situation will ease and these events can be rescheduled.

Regards

Liz
