RE News

Our Opening School Mass last Friday was a wonderful celebration of the beginning of the new school year. Fr Joel and Fr Marco celebrated Mass with the whole school community – children, teachers, parents and extended family members. It was a joyous occasion for our school to gather in prayer and song to receive God’s blessings.

During the Mass our Yr 6 student councillors were inducted as our school leaders for 2020. We prayed that God would bless them and help them to fulfil their responsibilities throughout the year. They pledged to do this before God and the school community. Following this the whole school prayed an act of dedication.
Act of Dedication
Heavenly Father, we offer our school year to you.
We offer our prayer, our work, our play and all that we do. We believe these actions continue the work of Your Son, Jesus. May we bring blessings to our families, our school and our wider community.
Mary, our Mother, we ask you to take us in your care.
Amen.

Thank you to Fr Joel for officially blessing and opening our Sensory Garden. Being sprinkled with holy water was very much appreciated!

It was wonderful to enjoy a BBQ lunch with the families following Mass – there was a real sense of community as we shared a sausage!
