Co-Principal’s Message

Dear Parents,

The past two weeks have seen us experience great sadness with the passing of two members of our school community. Whilst this has been a very difficult time it has also highlighted what a wonderful and supportive  community we belong to. It has been incredible to witness the support received and it has been heartwarming to know that we have the thoughts and prayers of so many. We thank the many of you who have cooked meals, contributed to food hampers, offered prayers and been willing to help in any way. We are also so grateful for the support CEDWW have provided and also the support from our colleagues at the schools within our Deanery who have availed their staff to cover classes and playground supervision, as well as providing morning tea for our staff. It certainly highlights what an amazing Catholic community we belong to.

We all enjoyed a fantastic weekend competing at the NSW CPS Basketball Challenge. A big thanks must go to everyone who volunteered their time to make this carnival such a success. Events such as these cannot exist without the support of both staff and parents so thank you, we greatly appreciate it. Congratulations to all of our students who competed. Our school was represented with great pride and sportsmanship, and it was obvious that the children had fun. Check out the sports report for results.

We are all looking forward to our Fete on Friday evening. Again we are grateful for the many parents who have spent so much time in the organisation of this event. It is our major fundraiser and we appreciate the voluntary hours that go into this. We look forward to sharing this evening with you all. If you are able to help out in any way can you please check out all the information on our website “notes” page and also the St. Pat’s Twilight Fete facebook page. Pre-Purchased ride bands can be purchased up until 3.30pm on Friday. The profits for the pre-purchased bands go to the school and are a cheaper price than on the night of the fete. Click here

Our Year 5 teachers and students are heading to Ballarat on Thursday for their overnight excursion. We wish them well and look forward to many exciting stories about their adventures.

Friday sees us host our first session for our 2020 Kindergarten students. We are most excited to welcome these students into our St Patrick’s community.

Regards

Liz & Rob
